Homophobia wins again

I know I am probably the last one in the blogosphere to write about this, but here it is.

Earlier this week, Maine voted to repeal a gay marriage law, with 53% of the vote.  I don’t understand it, I really don’t. How does allowing same sex couples get married hurt traditional marriage? How does allowing same sex couples the same rights as straight couples bother anyone? Somebody please, please enlighten me.

The rather interesting thing about this is, liberals, are usually pro-gay, but yet, liberal states like California and Maine vote against gay marriage, and a conservative state like Iowa is allowing them. How fucked up is this? So much for the gay hating conservatives huh? This shows how hypocritical liberals are.  Two of the most liberal states in the country vote against gay marriage, and one fairly conservative state voted for gay marriage. Pretty fucked up, huh? What does this say about conservatives? And what does this say about liberals? It certainly puts a spin on each one’s record, don’t ya think?

Wingnuts?

I’ve been seeing this term being thrown around a lot lately and I’ve begun to question it. Most of the people that I’ve seen use it, cling to one wing or the other, right or left. It’s such a vague term. Wingnuts. That could apply to whom? Either nuts on the left or right, right? It really isn’t specific. The ones using this term could be talking about themselves for all I know.

Wingnuts this, wingnuts that.

I don’t think I need to tell you that there’s nuts on both sides of the aisle. As for use of the term wingnuts, I think only those who don’t cling to either wing should use it.

What is your take on this term?

I'm back...

Hey everyone, I'm back. I know I haven't posted in awhile and I apologize for that. I've been busy with other things. I also haven't been returning Entrecard drops, and I apologize for that, too. The damn Entrecard toolbar has been pissing me off because it won't remember my login. As of late, the effort of logging into the Entrecard toolbar has been too much effort. I can never remember the goddamn password and keep having to search through emails to find it. Lately, the computer has been driving me up the wall with its bullshit. It's lucky it doesn't find itself on the other side of my office window.

Rasmussen Reports:

Here are some articles from Rasmussen that I have been meaning to report on, but haven't got around to them, until now.

This is the latest one:

76% Oppose Federal Bailout of Ailing Life Insurance CompaniesOppose Federal Bailout of Ailing Life Insurance Companies
Oppose Federal Bailout of Ailing Life Insurance Companies
Add one more government bailout to the list opposed by most Americans.
Seventy-six percent (76%) of adults say "no" to using federal funds to bail out
troubled life insurance companies, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national
telephone survey.
Just 12% favor the idea, and another 12% are not sure.
Investors (80%) are even more strongly opposed.

No more fucking bailouts goddamnit. I am TIRED Of this shit. Don't give a bail out to these insurance companies, especially, they are the biggest thieves around and have been robbing tax payers blind for years. FUCK THEM. Let them rot.

For Most Americans, Easter Is An Important Holiday
Fifty-three percent (53%) of Americans say Easter is one of the nation's most important
holidays, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. That's
up seven points from a year ago. Just seven percent (7%) consider it one of the
least important holidays, and 38% say it's somewhere in between the most important
and the least important.

As far as I am concerned, it's just another bullshit holiday. One in which makes dentists rich, just like Valentine's and Halloween. It's probably the second most useless holiday next to Christmas. I think it is sad that there's only a handful of days a year in which we are required to remember the ones we love. If you need a holiday to fucking remember that then there is something wrong with you.

66% of Americans Say Their Vote Counts in Elections

Two-thirds of American adults nationwide (66%) say their vote really matters on
Election Day.

And most Americans are fucking stupid. If their voice really matters on Election day, why the fuck do they pick these goddamn clowns who run for office and then constantly bitch about politicians? It's their fault they elected these clowns and they are responsible for what they fuck up. They won't admit that they were wrong for voting for such and such a candidate so they make up a bullshit phrase like this: "If you don't vote, you have no right to complain." Bullshit. Those who don't vote have the right to complain because of the mess your vote created and have every reason to fucking bitch and moan. If they didn't vote, it's because they didn't like what their choices are, so why fault them for not voting? Supposedly, it's everyone's right to vote, and it is their right to decide whether they want to or not so let them alone.

55% Oppose Eliminating Deductions As A Trade-off for Lower Tax Rates

Good. I've been saying this all along. Eliminate these fucking deductions and lower the tax rate and watch the government bring in more revenue. Wait. Did that say they opposed lower taxes? What are they fucking stupid? I guess they don't want to pay taxes and all, and I don't blame them for that, but christ...there's way too many tax loopholes. Close them up and lower the tax rates and everyone will be happier. Mark my words. But that won't happen, of course, so don't fucking worry.

Just 53% Say Capitalism Better Than Socialism

Only 53% of American adults believe capitalism is better than socialism.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 20% disagree and
say socialism is better. Twenty-seven percent (27%) are not sure which is better.
Adults under 30 are essentially evenly divided: 37% prefer capitalism, 33% socialism,
and 30% are undecided. Thirty-somethings are a bit more supportive of the free-enterprise
approach with 49% for capitalism and 26% for socialism. Adults over 40 strongly
favor capitalism, and just 13% of those older Americans believe socialism is better.

I wonder if the ones that support socialism are the Obamabots?

Only 45% Think They Pay More Than Their Share In Taxes

Just 45% of U.S. voters now think they pay more than their fair share of taxes,
the lowest finding on this question since regular tracking began last July. This
number has fallen below 50% just once since Election Day. Thirty-one percent (31%)
do not believe they pay their fair share of taxes and 24% are not sure, according
to the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

I wonder what the incomes were of all of these people?

Just 54% Say Their Home Worth More Than The Mortgage

The number of U.S. homeowners who say their house is worth more than the amount they
still owe on their mortgage is down seven points since December. Fifty-four percent
54%) now say their house is valued for more than they owe, according to a new
Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

So what? You borrowed the money and still need to pay it back, so stop whining. The house values will go back up, they always do.

57% Want Military Response to North Korea Missile Launch

Fifty-seven percent (57%) of U.S. voters nationwide favor a military response to
eliminate North Korea's missile launching capability. The latest Rasmussen Reports
national telephone survey shows that just 15% of voters oppose a military response
while 28% are not sure. North Korea defied international pressure and launched a
missile last night. Officials from that country claim a satellite was placed in
orbit. U.S. defense officials confirm that a missile was launched but that no object
was placed in orbit.

What a bunch of warmongers we are in this country. I bet these are the same people that supported the invasion of Iraq and then flip flopped when they realized what a bad fucking decision it was.

This one is my fucking favorite:

75% Oppose Release of Guantanamo Inmates in the United States

President Obama's intelligence chief said last week that some inmates at the
Guantanamo terrorist prison camp may be released in the United States, but just 13%
of U.S. voters think that should be allowed.

I'm glad that most Americans have some fucking sense. Finally. I know the thought of torture isn't great, but if it keeps this country safe and helps us "defeat" the terrorists, then you do what you have to do. We haven't had an attack on this country in the last 7 years of Bush's presidency, so he must have been doing something right.

These detainees have no fucking rights. They are terrorists for fuck sake. Why should they be allowed our rights when they aren't even fucking citizens? The insanity of the liberals is unbelievable. No wonder people think you're pussies.

Well that's all I have to report on now. If something else pisses me off, you'll be sure to hear about it.

Have a good day, all.

A second stimulus package...

I keep hearing about a second stimulus package. What the fuck? The first stimulus package hasn't even been put in effect yet and they're thinking about a second one? They don't even know if the first one will work yet but they still think it's a good idea to bring out another one? This is ridiculous. A $700-800 billion stimulus package isn't enough? I can't even remember how much the first stimulus package was. It was an inconceivable amount. I just can't believe the bullshit that is going on in Washington. Spend, spend, spend. The attitude seems to be "have a problem? Just throw money at it and it will go away." Well I hope it works. Otherwise we're all fucked. Actually, I think we're all fucked regardless. Maybe if it works we'll be fucked a bit less but still fucked nonetheless.

Well, enjoy your fucking, America.

Hannity and Colmes split up

Fox News announced that after 12 years, Alan Colmes will be leaving the top-rated "Hannity & Colmes" at the end of the year.

“I approached Bill Shine (FNC’s Senior Vice President of Programming) earlier this year about wanting to move on after 12 years to develop new and challenging ways to contribute to the growth of the network," Colmes said in a statement. "Although it’s bittersweet to leave one of the longest marriages on cable news, I’m proud that both Sean (Hannity) and I remained unharmed after sitting side by side, night after night for so many years.”

Sean Hannity said Colmes was "a remarkable co-host," "great friend," and "skillful debate partner.”

Colmes will remain a Fox commentator, and continue hosting "The Alan Colmes Show" on Fox News Radio. Also, he's developing a weekend show.

So will it just be the "The Sean Hannity Show" (as on the radio) or take the name of the weekly Fox show, "Hannity's America?" In the release, published after the jump, there's no mention of Hannity seeking a new liberal co-host, so I assume he's on his own, but can't say for sure. I've put the question to Fox and will update when available.

ALAN COLMES TO DEPART TOP RATED HANNITY & COLMES

This is a shame. The show needed Colmes to balance out right wing lunatic Sean Hannity. I hope he can find another liberal to take Colmes' place. Maybe someone more intimidating is what the show needs. Colmes was a bit too soft. They need to take on Rove, Morris, Coulter and all the other right wing nut cases that guest on the show.

Hannity might go it alone? What fun is that? What happened to being fair and balanced? If he's going the route of HannitysAmerica, then its going to be horrible. Though, it is fun seeing Hannity froth at the mouth about Obama and the rest of the liberals.

Conservatives and Abortion

This is a topic that I've wanted to write about for a long time. Abortion is considered a risque subject. I'm not going to beat around the bush. I am going to come right out and say it: Yes, I am pro-abortion, pro-choice and however else you want to describe it. I favor killing the unborn. But before you stop reading because you think I am a disgusting, murderer, please read on and listen to what I have to say.

Now the opponents to abortion consider themselves pro-life. Pro-life, to me, is a meaningless term. You want to know why? Because pro-lifers are the same people that support the death penalty. Kind of contradictory, don't you think? I think that if these people were really pro-life, they wouldn't allow anyone to die. The only ones they seem to care about though, are the unborn. But what about the humans that are already born? What about them? These pro-lifers don't seem to care about them, do they? Look at all the starving children we have in the country. They're homeless and hungry, but nobody cares about them. Nobody wants to sign a law that would make it illegal for them to go hungry. But they do want a law banning abortion. To me, abortion is a way of cleaning up a mess before it becomes a bigger mess; a way to stop the pain before it gets worse. Because life is a lot of pain, don't you agree? I think of abortion as a way out for the little fella who doesn't know what he's getting into. Even though it isn't his fault, I still think it's best if he isn't brought into a world where he is not wanted.

Now who is to say that the child will be better off alive? The mother doesn't want it, she can barely take care of herself, let alone a child. Is she capable of taking care of the child? Most likely not. In some cases, the mother will go berserk and leave the child in a dumpster somewhere, or try flushing it down the toilet. Pretty disgusting, eh? I agree. I think both of those things are worse than abortion. I say kill the child before it faces the real suffering, before he faces any real pain at all. Now I bet someone is thinking “there is always adoption.” You're right. There is. BUT how is that a solution? Can you guarantee the child will be better off in a foster home? Will he be fed and taken care of the way he deserves to be? What happens when the child finds out he is adopted? Won't that bother him? Knowing that he wasn't wanted? I bet you he will face some psychological problems in result of an adoption.

Now back to these pro-lifers. The pro-lifers want a bigger mess, and don't want to feed all the hungry and homeless children in this country. Why not? You'd think that if they were pro-life, they would care about all life, wouldn't you say so? All they seem to care about is the un-born. Now as the late, great George Carlin stated so well: If you're pre-born, you're fine but if you're pre-school, you're fucked. What does this mean? It means that once the child is born, the pro-life conservatives do not want to know who he is. They don't want to provide welfare, food-stamps, housing, education, nothing. They don't want to hear about him until he reaches military age: 18. Then they think he is just fine, just what they were looking for. They want to ship him overseas to fight meaningless wars (that these ignorant asshole conservatives think we can win), where he will die just to protect their cowardly asses and their valuables. Does that sound like pro-life to you? I think what they should be saying is: we are pro-life, we decide who lives or dies.

Another thing about these conservatives that I have a problem with, is that they claim they want to keep government off your back. However, they feel it is alright for them to worry about what goes on in a woman's uterus. They want to make abortion illegal and they want to prosecute the doctors that perform these illegal abortions. Now, what about the mishandled abortions? There are a lot of those. They aren't performed correctly, and the mother and/or child end up dying. And this happens why? Because they do not have the tools at their disposal to do the job right. They are hiding out in back alleys or doing it in the mother's bedroom. This needs to be done in a hospital room, legally. If they are pro-life, you'd think they'd care about the mother and the child, right? So why not make the abortions legal so they can be performed in a hospital under sanitary conditions so they can at least save the mother's life. Why save the mother's life? Well she's not ready for a child yet, but someday she might be. She will be able to produce a healthy child with the means to take care of him. And she won't have to worry about applying for welfare or food stamps, either. Because everybody knows, conservatives don't approve of those things.

I want to delve into another subject for a moment before I close: homophobia. Why are these conservative assholes against gays? Who has less abortions than a homosexual? Aren't homosexuals almost guaranteed never to have an abortion? Don't you think conservatives and gays would make natural allies? But not only are they against homosexuals, they also won't let them get married or adopt children. Why won't they let them adopt children? Now tell me, if they are anti-abortion: what are we going to do with all these children that we save? They're in need of good, loving homes because the mother can't take care of the child. Conservatives sure as hell won't provide welfare or food stamps or housing. And they won't let the homosexuals adopt kids. There are many homosexual couples that would love to adopt children and could provide a good, loving home for them. But they can't even get married or adopt children legally. So what are we suppose to do with all of these newborn children if the government doesn't want to take care of them? The mother can't take care of the child. She never wanted him to begin with and she couldn't abort him because the government said it was against the law. I think if killing someone is against the law, then allowing someone to starve to death should be too.

If these asshole conservatives want to be pro-life, then they should also be pro-provider of whatever means necessary to take care of that life. Support welfare, housing, food stamps, you name it. If they are pro-life, then they should fucking live up to what the term says. We should also not be fighting wars overseas, because naturally, people die in war and pro-life people should not allow others to die. And they also should build more prisons to hold all of these criminals, because again, they are pro-life, so we can't kill these criminals. That would be contradictory to what pro-life means. Am I right about this?

And to be brutally honest, don't we have enough fucking people on this Earth as it is? Don't you think we'd be better off with a lighter load? So let's end the bullshit and make abortions legal. I think you'll save a lot of lives in the long run, and it would eliminate a lot of suffering before it starts.

PS: I am aware of Roe V. Wade, but that doesn't prevent these conservatives from wanting to overturn it and take away the woman's right to choose. They also want to make all contraceptives illegal. This post was written with these things in mind.

Thought of the Day

Why is it that the middle class is referred to the middle class, but the rich aren't referred to as the "high class," and the poor as the "low class?"

I know no one wants to be referred to as the low class, that I can understand. But, the high class being referred to as the high class, is that too good for them? Could it be possible that the low class have more class than the high class? Now what about the middle class? Why are they getting all the attention? Maybe they are the ones with more class than anyone else.

I dunno, you try to figure this shit out and then get back to me.
