Republicans Like GOP's Conservative Direction, Democrats Don't
Coming off a shellacking at the polls in November, 43% of GOP voters say their
party has been too moderate over the past eight years while only 17% say it has
been too conservative. Most Republicans (55%) think the party should become more
like Alaska Governor Sarah Palin while 24% see John McCain as the best role model
and 11% say they should follow George W. Bush.
This made me laugh. Of course Democrats aren't going to like the GOP's "direction." Whatever that is. That's why they are Democrats, DUH.
Why the hell would anyone want to become more like Palin? She's an intellectual midget. A loser. McCain is a loser also. And Bush? Why would anyone want to follow him? He is an incompetent idiot who has failed and soiled everything he touches.
Number Who Say Nation Heading in Right Direction Jumps to 27%
Twenty-seven percent (27%) of American voters believe the nation is heading in the
right direction. That's up from 21% just before Barack Obama was inaugurated as President
and up from 14% just before the election. The latest Rasmussen Reports national
telephone survey of likely voters found 63% say the nation is moving down the wrong
track while 10% are undecided.
And what direction would that be? They never tell us. Is the country going down the tubes right into the shitter or is it going to China? Or does that equate to the same thing? What is the right direction? I think the country is too far gone to change direction now, but that's just me. Maybe we can alleviate the pain and slow down the horse, but I don't think we'll be able to change the direction. Call me a pessimist, but I'm a realist above all else.
